Абстракт

Въпреки многобройните проучвания ролята на инфекцията с Cytomegalovirus (CMV) върху тежест-
та и влошаването на възпалението, както и резистентността към лечение при пациенти с възпалителни чревни заболявания (ВЧЗ) продължава да е актуална тема. През последните години ролята на CMV при обострянията на ВЧЗ е силно обсъждана. Редица автори подкрепят активната роля на CMV при обострянията
на ВЧЗ, докато други насърчават концепцията за “невинния” страничен наблюдател, подкрепяйки тезата, че инфекцията с CMV не участва в прогресирането на заболяването. Настоящият литературен обзор има за цел задълбочено да разгледа актуализираната представа за аспекти, свързани с насложена инфекция с CMV при пациенти с ВЧЗ, включително епидемиология, рискови фактори, клинични характеристики, диагностични тестове, място на имуносупресорите, както и показанията за антивирусно лечение.
