Abstract

One of the latest newly isolated diseases is COVID-19. COVID-19 is a highly contagious viral disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a virus that belongs to the Coronaviridae family, Beta-coronavirus genus. To achieve the main purpose, a search was conducted in various databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, ResearchGate) and Internet sites with scientific information by keywords: COVID-19, oral manifestations, oral pathology, orale Manifestationen, Läsionen der Mundschleimland, Geschmacksstörungen, Geruchsstörungen. 
The collected scientific information is systematized according to 4 main criteria: etiology, pathogenesis, oral manifestations, ways to improve the condition in the oral cavity, preventive measures.
