For Reviewers

Interested in reviewing articles for this journal? We recommend that you get familiar with the About the Journal page, as well as the Author Guidelines first.

Reviewers need to register with the journal prior to submitting a peer review or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the simple step by step process. Read the Reviewer Website Navigation User Manual for further details.

Reviewers should adhere to the following rules:

  • Judgments should be objective.
  • Reviewers may point out relevant published work which is not yet cited.
  • Reviewed articles should be treated confidentially.
  • Reviewers should have no conflicts of interest.
  • Editors and reviewers should decline to be involved with a submission when they are in a conflict of interest (see more in the Conflicts of interest section below).

Conflicts of interest

Editors and reviewers should decline to be involved with a submission when they:

  • have a close collaboration or personal connection to any of the author(s);
  • have a financial interest in the subject of the work;
  • feel unable to be objective.

Confidentiality

All peer reviewers must maintain a strict and perpetual confidentiality for the content of all manuscripts under their review and for any related correspondences with the journal editorial and administration team. Reviewers must not share any part of the manuscript with a third party or discuss its content with the authors of the manuscript or any other person. Reviewers must not plagiarize or cite any of the contents of a manuscript before the manuscript has been formally published.

General Guidelines for reviewers

The comments for each manuscript under peer review should be completed within 2 weeks. A gentle reminder may be emailed a week before the deadline. Reviewers who frequently fail to meet the deadline may be removed from the list of reviewers of this journal.

As a reviewer, you will be asked to fill out a form with ten or more questions, depending on the type of article, which refer to specific aspects of the manuscript you are reviewing. Your general comments and recommendations should be included at the end of the form and although these are optional, we encourage you to please complete the blank fields and give your recommendations to the author/s.

An additional language editor check will be performed after each review, however we would appreciate it if you could also evaluate the quality of a written language/grammatical presentation of the manuscript by indicating whether there are significant changes required, or minor changes required, or no changes are necessary.

Acknowledgment

We would like to sincerely thank all our reviewers for their contribution, expertise and for dedicating their time to help us ensure the journal meets its quality standards and impact. Should you need us to provide you with an official document to certify your reviewer contribution, please do not hesitate to contact us!
