Абстракт

Професионалният стрес е широко разпространено явление със значими последствия за здравния статус на населението и все повече се признава за важен фактор за сърдечносъдовите заболявания (ССЗ). Този разширен обзорен преглед синтезира открития от систематични прегледи, метаанализи, кохортни проучвания и механистични изследвания. Те показват последователни връзки между неблагоприятните условия на труд (напр. високо натоварване на работното място, нисък контрол, дисбаланс между усилията и възнагражденията) и повишената честота на коронарна болест на сърцето (КБС), инсулт и сърдечносъдова смъртност след коригиране за традиционните рискови фактори. В обзора се фокусираме върху епидемиологията, патофизиологичните механизми, специфичните ССЗ, моделите на професионалния стрес, модифициращите фактори, подходите за оценка, интервенциите и клиничните последици, както и върху глобални перспективи и препоръки за превенция и политика. Проведен е критичен анализ на връзката между професионалния стрес и ССЗ през последните пет години, известните и неизвестните факти и препоръките за провеждане на бъдещи научноизследователски проучвания. Справянето с професионалния стрес като модифицируем рисков фактор е от съществено значение за намаляване на глобалната тежест от ССЗ.
