Parents’ satisfaction with a training on the issues of hardening in early childhood among children attending a kindergarten

In the context of increasing attention to the health and development of children, methods for prevention and strengthening of the child’s organism are gaining growing importance. One of the key strategies for achieving this is hardening, a process aimed at purposefully increasing the body’s resistance to climatic and environmental influences.The aim of the study is to determine, after conducting a training on the issues of hardening in early childhood, the level of knowledge of the participating parents and their satisfaction with the training. Materials and methods: Documentary method, survey method, interviews with teaching and medical staff involved in the study, and observation were applied. The collected data were processed using Microsoft Excel 2013. Results: The findings show a significant (about 50%) increase in parents’ awareness regarding the hardening procedures carried out in the kindergarten. A very large proportion (91.66%) of the respondents reported satisfaction with the training conducted. Conclusion:The high level of satisfaction and positive feedback from parents confirm the need for similar initiatives in the future. For a healthy lifestyle, hardening should begin in early childhood and continue throughout life.
