Abstract

In recent years, burnout among medical students has emerged as a significant issue within the context of medical education. During the course of their training, a proportion of students experience emotional exhaustion, detachment from academic activities, and a reduced sense of personal accomplishment, with symptoms often becoming more pronounced during the transition to clinical practice. This literature review addresses the prevalence, risk factors, consequences, and preventive approaches related to burnout among medical students. The focus is placed on the current state of the problem and on research trends observed over the past decade. The synthesized findings highlight the importance of targeted and practically applicable measures aimed at improving the educational environment and protecting students’ health during their training.
